A message from Blair Community Schools Superintendent, Dr. Gilson:

I hope this message finds you safe and well during what has undoubtedly been a challenging time for our community. As we continue to assess and respond to the aftermath of the recent tornados, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to those who have lost their homes or experienced damage due to these devastating events.

To our affected families, please know that you are not alone. Blair Community Schools stands with you during this difficult time, and we are here to offer our care, support, and assistance in any way we can. If you, your family, or someone you know has been impacted by the storm, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. You can email me directly at [email protected] so that we can coordinate efforts to provide support and resources to your family.

Recognizing that the aftermath of a natural disaster can be emotionally challenging, we will make counseling and support services available to students, staff, and families as needed. Our guidance counselors and support staff will be on hand to provide assistance and resources for coping and healing.

Each building administrator will meet with staff prior to school on Monday to identify a safe room/crisis center for students. These rooms will provide activities and support personnel, and large groups will be broken into smaller groups. If your child is in need of support, please contact the school and request a counselor. We believe it is essential to keep the school schedule as regular as possible to ensure the routine structure remains intact for students to feel safe.
